What it Does/How it Works:
The liver has more diverse functions than any other organ in the body. Consequently its cells contain more cellular organelles, all of which require cell membranes. The liver therefore requires a healthy intake of phospholipids to construct these cell membranes. Phosphatidyl Choline (PC) is a primary building block for these cell membranes.
Having healthy cell membranes is like having good boundaries. Cells are less susceptible to infection. Also toxins jam into cell membranes spinning off odd-shaped fatty acids that viruses can use to replicate. Having sufficient phospholipids allows cells to renew membranes and slough off toxin laden ones.
