What it Does/How it Works:

Other mixtures of Lipoic Acid are 50/50 R+ and S- forms. The R+ form is natural and the S- form a synthetic version. Dr. Berkson was a Cleveland doctor who saved two amanita phalloides (the death cap mushroom) patients with IV’s of Alpha Lipoic Acid in the 1970′s.  Later he created the triple anti-oxidant treatment for Hepatitis C using Lipoic Acid, Milk Thistle, and Selenium.  He was the first to popularize using Lipoic Acid for chronic hepatitis.
