What it Does/How it Works:

Serrapeptase is produced by the bacteria Serratia in the intestines of silkworms. When the silkworm is ready to escape the cocoon it secretes serrapeptase which burns a hole in the silk cocoon. Silk is composed of fibrin, as is scar tissue in humans.  It is also tissue specific as it is powerful enough to burn a hole in the cocoon, yet it does not harm the delicate moth inside. Similar in humans as it is a very safe yet powerful medicine.

Commercially available serrapeptase now comes from bacterial fermentation of Serratia E15.

As the liver gets progressively damaged in chronic hepatitis it gets increasingly fibrotic. Serrapeptase is the premier anti-fibrotic treatment.

Serrapeptase is best known for its ability to dissolve arterial plaque. All plaque rests on a latticework of fibrin. The Germans would use it for 12 to 18 months to clear the carotid artery of obstruction. It is very useful for angina as it immediately helps to supply more blood flow to the heart.

Serraflazyme is also excellent in the treatment of sprains, bruises, carpal tunnel syndrome.

Serrapeptase has a strong anti-inflammatory action. At Alchemist Lab, we prescribe Serraflazyme as our replacement for NSAIDS (Non-steroidal anti-inflamatory drugs). Note that the use of acetaminophen is especially dangerous for those with liver disease.

On the psychological level, Serraflazyme is powerful remedy for those who are stuck or trapped. Patients report feeling more peaceful and a sense of less obstacles in their way after taking serrapeptase.

Serrapeptase potentiates anti-infective treatments including in lyme disease by helping to dissolve the partially fibrotic matrix that bacteria can hide in. There are many studies that show that serrapeptase complements antibiotic action.
