Artemisinin

Allergy Research

Artemisinin is used to treat Babesia, which is a co-infection of Lyme disease and a cousin of Malaria. It is also recommended for use in the treatment of cancer and bringing down Alpha-Fetoprotein levels. Current research shows that Artemisinin inhibits both Hepatitis B & C, Herpes Simplex, Epstein Barr Virus, CMV and HPV (Human Papilloma virus).

Bottle Contents: 90 Capsules (200 mg)

Ingredients: Artemisinin (100 mg / capsule)

Other Ingredients: Cellulose, L-Leucine

Dosage and Use: 2 to 6 caps in between meals. Start low and build up the dose, making sure that it is well tolerated.

Time of Day: Between Meals

Quantity Needed for One-Month Supply: 1 or more bottles, according to dosage.

Cautions: Do not use if pregnant or nursing. Taking iron at the same time diminishes Artemisinin’s effectiveness, which is obviously not an issue for Hepatitis C patients. Artemisinin can cause irritability and die-off reactions. In rare cases Artemisinin can actually inflame the liver and cause hepatitis.

What it Does/How it Works:

Historically we at Alchemist Lab have prescribed Artemisinin in Hepatitis C cases only when alfa-fetoprotein levels are elevated. New information has come out indicating that artemisinin inhibits both Hepatitis B & C infections.

In the presence of iron, artemisinin reacts and breaks a hydrogen peroxide bond, creating an oxidative burst. Cancer cells take up iron at a much higher rate than normal cells. Artemisinin is a targeted natural chemotherapeutic agent, which has a slight toxic impact and can make some people irritable while on it.

The malarial parasite lives in red blood cells, which transport iron. Artemisinin is the best malarial medicine in the world. Babesia is a cousin of the malarial parasite and Artemisinin is the natural treatment of choice for that stubborn co-infection.

Research has shown Artemisinin to be particularly beneficial in balancing the microbiology of the GI (gastro-intestinal) tract.

Theoretically anti-oxidants counteract the action of Artemisinin, though clinically we have had many patients simultaneously on both and Artemisinin was still effective.

Oxidative bursts can kill parasites and cancer cells, yet they can also have an inflammatory action on healthy cells.
