What it Does/How it Works:
K1 is the principle form of Vitamin K in the human diet. It is found mostly in the form of green vegetables. Vitamin K1 is tightly bound with plant fiber and tends to be poorly absorbed.
Vitamin K2 (menaquinone) is found in eggs, dairy and meat products. It is also synthesized by bacteria in the guts. Studies show that K2 is up to ten times more bioavailable then K1.
Vitamin K has many different functions in the human body, including bone and cardiovascular health. At Alchemist Lab we utilize Vitamin K when blood platelet counts are low.
